The interior of the castle is as incredible as the architecture. When it was built an additional £4,000 was spent on furnishings. Again this would have amounted to a huge sum in today's money. All of the furniture was bespoke for Blairquhan, designed and built by the celebrated Morison of Ayr. These items still remain in the castle.

The grounds of Blairquhan are equally attractive. There is 300 acres of parkland and the site is home to over 5 million trees, many of which are older than the castle itself. There is a beautiful walled garden on the site and a pond too. Unsurprisingly couples are spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding on the locations for their wedding pictures.
