Knockderry House Wedding Photography, Argyll & Bute
Tucked away on the scenic shores ofLoch Long, Knockderry Houseis one of those rare wedding venues that instantly feels like home. With its breathtaking Scottish scenery, relaxed elegance, and charming character, it’s an absolute dream to photograph—especially for couples who love the outdoors and want something truly personal and picturesque.
One of the things I loved most about capturing a wedding here wasn’t just the stunningviews across the loch, the romantic period interiors, or the peaceful gardens—though all of those made for incredible backdrops. What truly made the day unforgettable was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Knockderry is a dog-friendly hotel, and that added such a unique and joyful vibe to the celebration.
I was even greeted by their friendly residentcollie dog, who happily dropped a ball at my feet, clearly expecting me to join in a quick game before getting back behind the lens! Moments like that are what make photographing weddings in places like this so special—real, relaxed, and full of personality.
Being so close to theArgyll coast, with access to the beach just minutes away, Knockderry offers couples the perfect mix of Highland charm and coastal beauty. From intimate portraits with loch views to candid shots in the garden or by the water, this venue is a photographer’s dream—especially for couples looking for a dog-friendly wedding venue in Scotland, or those dreaming of a wedding surrounded by natural Scottish beauty.
