Photographing the Beauty of a Brig o' Doon Wedding
Scotland has, throughout history, been responsible for producing some of the finest and most gifted of artists the world has ever known and in this list would be Robert Burns, the best known of all Scottish poets, and is one of those people who the term "national treasure" was truly intended for. Tam o' Shanter is one of Burns' most well known, and well loved poems. Its vivid capturing of the essence of the Brig o' Doon served to make the area world famous, making the place a must-see visit for people from all around the world. It is perhaps of little or no surprise that, as well as visits, Brig o' Doon wedding ceremonies are very popular.
The Brig o' Doon
The Brig o Doon in recent years has undertaken many changes since the RAD group acquired this venue. The internal bedrooms have been modernised with extra capacity in additional bedrooms, the upstairs, restaurant dining areas have also undergone a refit. The garden/function room has also been expanded. In the main gardens, many of the old, classic trees have been removed, to aid viewing the bridge from the main hotel (2025).
